This may be my next Digital camera, would like first to have it in hand to see how it compare to a full frame body size (because the Canon 7D while being a DX format is really close in size to the Canon 5D Mark2 full frame body ). As usual, you wont any better preview than the one of Dpreview.com, even if it’s only a preview. The full review will be a least 33 pages big :-)

The Canon EOS 7D was announced by Canon at the end of August 2009. It is a brand new camera filling a gap in the Canon DSLR lineup that has no predecessor before. Canon has made APS-C sensors DSLR for as long as any other camera makers and although they have done well in the past with their previous top of the line APS-C DSLR like the 50D, they did not have any “pro” class APS-C DSLR that directly answered to competition from Nikon D300 and the recently released D300s. Canon EOS 7D new Firmware released

Firmware Version 1.0.9 incorporates the following fixes.
- Improves AF accuracy during Live View shooting.
- Corrects a phenomenon where in rare instances, movie images shot by the camera may exhibit abnormal colors.
- Corrects a phenomenon that at certain timings, the shutter cannot be released when the camera's built-in flash or an external Speedlite is used for shooting.
Firmware Version 1.0.9 is for cameras with firmware up to version 1.0.8. If the camera's firmware is already version 1.0.9, it is not necessary to update the firmware.
